What the field arm actually installs

RFID dock-door portals
Reader, antenna and portal mounting at approved receiving and shipping points. Power, cabling and accessory requirements follow the selected hardware design; not every portal uses the same supply method.
RTLS anchors and gateways
BLE, UWB, and WiFi-based location anchors mounted at height, on grid, with power delivered — the anchor-density math your platform specifies, executed the same way at site 1 and site 80.
The cable plant underneath
Cat6/Cat6A, pathway, and fire-stopping where the approved device design requires wired connections. Battery-powered mesh anchors need a different scope. Installed drops are tested and labeled to the agreed site standard.
Switching and PoE budget
Closet switching sized for the added PoE load, with port maps documented per site — so commissioning day is configuration, not archaeology.
Site observations for the platform designer
Record access, racking, obstructions and existing infrastructure during the agreed site survey. The platform engineer uses those observations to approve the radio layout and any required coexistence work.
Cold and washdown environments
Freezer-rated enclosures, heated housings, and IP66/IP69K-rated hardware where tracking reaches into coolers and washdown zones — the environments that kill standard installs.
Define the installation before pricing the rollout
Installation cost depends on the selected architecture, mounting height, access windows, pathways, power, and acceptance scope. Wired anchors, battery-powered mesh devices, and mixed systems require different field plans. Confirm the model-specific design before assigning cable drops or a deployment budget.
Start with a representative facility. Record device coordinates, mounting orientation, network readiness, labels, and physical acceptance evidence. The platform specialist then verifies positioning behavior with real tags, materials, and operating speeds before the installation standard is repeated at other sites.

When you don't need a deployment partner
A single-site pilot doesn't justify our coordination model — your own field engineer plus a local low-voltage shop will do it cheaper, and we will tell you so on the first call. The math flips at fleet scale: multi-site coordination overhead is roughly fixed per program, so below about 25 sites it eats the margin, and above 25 sites it is the margin. Run the pilot however you like; bring us the fleet.
