Match the locator to the approved design

Identify the locator generation and the current mounting procedure. Record orientation and coordinate requirements with the drawing. The installer needs an approved location and method, not just a dot on a floor plan.

Quuppa documents Ethernet-connected locators and Q-Link connectivity options. The platform designer should evaluate the use case and approve the topology. Record the power arrangement for every device even when its data connection is wireless.

Assign positioning-engine responsibilities

Specify the paths, zones and operating conditions for acceptance. Include transitions and obstructions that matter to the buyer. Record the platform owner's result independently from the mounting and cabling signoff.

Questions to settle before the crew arrives

Are position and orientation both relevant?

Yes, the selected locator's installation procedure and design should specify both. Record them using the coordinate convention provided by the platform owner.

Should I choose Q-Link for every deployment?

Do not assume that. Quuppa describes different capacity and reliability considerations for wireless connectivity; the designer must approve it for the use case.

Does SRS claim Quuppa certification?

No certification is claimed by this guide. Required credentials and model-specific capability must be verified before the engagement is awarded.

Who accepts tracking performance?

The designated platform or application owner accepts it against the agreed test plan. Installation completion is a separate documented milestone.

What does SRS need to scope the physical work?

Send the site list, states, drawings, device schedule and approved installation instructions. Include access windows and the contact who owns platform commissioning so responsibilities can be agreed before dispatch.

Which costs affect the field estimate?

Mounting access, work windows, pathways, travel, device quantities and readiness gaps affect field labor. Platform licenses, calibration and application integration should be quoted separately by their assigned owners.

How should a pilot become a multi-site deployment?

Accept the pilot against the agreed physical and platform tests before repeating it. Carry forward the approved checklist, record site-specific differences and confirm readiness before each later visit.

What does the scope workbook include?

It records site readiness, device locations, responsibility owners, acceptance checks and cost categories. Complete it with the platform designer and facility owner, then use it to request comparable field estimates.
