What changes the price

Drop count alone does not establish the budget. Pathway length, occupied-space access, cable rating, lifts, after-hours work and testing requirements change the labor and materials. Keep these assumptions visible in each bid so a low total does not conceal an omitted deliverable.

Identify responsibility for pathways, firestopping, permits and any electrical work in the scope. Active network equipment and configuration are separate line items unless expressly included. Confirm the required credentials for the project before award.
