Smart Kitchen IoT Deployment
for Multi-Site Restaurants.
SRS Networks installs the field hardware behind smart-kitchen IoT — temperature and equipment sensors, gateways, network drops, and power — for multi-site restaurants and QSR chains across all 48 contiguous states.
Vendor-neutral sensors and gateways. Network and power in scope. Every device wired, powered, and reporting into your monitoring platform before we leave the site.
Smart kitchen IoT deployment is the physical install of the field hardware behind a connected kitchen — temperature and equipment sensors mounted and verified, IoT gateways and controllers set and powered, the Cat6 drops and PoE each device needs pulled and certified, and the power provisioned so every device reports without a gap. SRS deploys and supports the sensors and connectivity; it does not build or license the monitoring platform itself — that belongs to your IoT or equipment-monitoring provider.
SRS Networks is a nationwide IT infrastructure deployment partner headquartered in Salinas, California, installing smart-kitchen IoT, point-of-sale, and low-voltage systems for multi-site restaurants and QSR chains across all 48 contiguous states since 1996 — a separate business from any local Salinas IT services provider. We've completed 500+ deployments across 5,000+ sites with in-house W-2 leads, a vetted W-9 subcontractor bench, West and East Coast staging facilities, and every site tracked live in our Project Command Center.
The Sensor Is the Easy Part
Network, power, mounting, and site-to-site consistency are what decide whether the data ever reaches your platform — and whether the food-safety record holds.
A Silent Sensor Reads Like a Safe Cooler
A walk-in sensor that drops off the network doesn't alarm — it just stops reporting. Food-safety temperature logging only protects you if every site reports without gaps, and a dead drop hides a warming cooler until the product is already lost.
Network and Power Get Underscoped
Most installers quote the sensors and the gateway, then discover the kitchen has no drop near the walk-in and no spare PoE budget. The connectivity and power these devices need is the work that decides whether the data ever arrives.
No Two Sites Report the Same Way
When a different local tech wires each kitchen, gateway placement, sensor mounting, and PoE provisioning drift store to store. Your monitoring platform then shows fifty sites that each behave a little differently, and nobody trusts the dashboard.
Drop-Shipped Gateways Fail Receiving
Sensors and gateways shipped straight to a restaurant get refused, misrouted, or signed for by a shift lead who never tells the GM. Every failed receipt is a return trip, a rescheduled crew, and a site that goes live late.
One Partner. Every Site
Reporting In.
SRS Networks is a single point of contact for the field side of your smart-kitchen program — site survey, pre-staging, install, and go-live. We run in-house W-2 leads backed by a vetted W-9 subcontractor bench, not a 1099 labor marketplace, so the tech who shows up is insured, audited, and held to one mounting and wiring standard at every site. The monitoring platform stays yours; we make sure it has clean data to read.
The Field Hardware,
Not the Software
From the probe in the walk-in to the gateway carrying data off the floor, SRS Networks installs and verifies every physical part of the connected kitchen. The platform stays your provider's.
Temperature & Equipment Sensors
Walk-in, reach-in, fryer, and line sensors mounted, wired, and verified reporting to your IoT or equipment-monitoring platform — placed to one standard so every site reads the same way, not tech-by-tech guesswork.
IoT Gateways & Controllers
Field gateways and controllers set, powered, and connected — the hardware that carries sensor data off the kitchen floor to whatever monitoring platform your brand has chosen. We deploy the device; the platform stays yours.
Network Drops & PoE
The Cat6 drops and PoE budget each sensor and gateway needs — pulled, terminated, and Fluke-certified — so a device never goes dark for a network reason and food-safety logging never has a gap.
Power Provisioning
Dedicated power and the circuits these devices need where the kitchen has none. Power is what most installers underscope, and a sensor with no reliable power is a gap in your temperature record waiting to happen.
Staging, Imaging & Pre-Config
Gateways imaged and configured at our staging facilities, labeled per store, and shipped ready to set — not unboxed and guessed at on the kitchen floor during a dinner shift.
Cutover & Go-Live Support
Scheduled site-by-site cutovers with onsite techs who confirm every sensor and gateway is reporting into your platform before they leave — so the food-safety record starts clean, not with missing sites.
Sensors ride on the same network as your registers — see our network installation services to deploy the switching behind it, or our structured cabling for the certified drops behind every device.
What you actually get when you hand us a multi-site sensor rollout
You have thirty, fifty, eighty kitchens to bring onto a monitoring platform, and you do not want to manage a different installer in every metro. So you hand us a site list and a scope — sensors per kitchen, the equipment they cover, the gateway your platform expects, and your install windows — and from there you talk to one project manager. Your store in Ohio gets the same sensor placement, the same drop, and the same go-live check as your flagship in California, because one SRS standard travels with the crew instead of resetting at each site.
Drop-shipping gateways straight to the restaurant fails roughly one in six times — wrong address, locked dock, no signature, the manager never told the line a box was coming — and a gateway that sits unopened in a back office is a site that goes live late. We learned that across a few hundred direct-to-site shipments we tracked over a year. Every failed receipt is a return trip and a rescheduled crew. So we route gateways through staging first, image them, label them per store, and ship configured to a named recipient. Drop-ship is faster on one kitchen. Pre-staging wins at volume.
Here is when we are not your fit: if what you need is the monitoring software or the analytics platform itself, that is your IoT or equipment-monitoring provider, not us — we install and support the sensors and connectivity that feed it. And if you are wiring one kitchen in one metro, hire a local installer directly; our coordination overhead doesn't pay back until you are rolling roughly 25+ sites. Below that line, a same-day local tech will beat us on drive time, and we will tell you that on the scoping call rather than sell you a rollout you don't need.
Local Installer vs. SRS Networks
A sensor rollout is only as good as the network behind it, the tech who shows up, and who answers when a site stops reporting. See what changes at multi-site scale.
