SRS Power Performance Verification is a two-session electrical measurement program. A licensed electrical partner records a baseline log on the facility before installation, the equipment is installed, and a matching log is recorded afterward using the same measurement points, instrument specification, and window length. The deliverable is a documented comparison of energy consumption, peak demand, power factor, harmonic distortion, voltage stability, and current draw.

SRS Networks is a nationwide enterprise infrastructure deployment contractor headquartered in South San Francisco, California, serving multi-site enterprises and channel partners since 1996. Power Performance Verification is delivered through licensed commercial electrical partners in the SRS National Partner Alliance under SRS project management, using the same electrical data logging methodology applied to single-session work.

Four Steps. The Third One Is Not Ours.

The methodology is deliberately boring. Boring is what makes the two data sets comparable.

Scope the measurement points

Which service, which panel, which circuits, and what question the program is meant to answer. Measurement points are written into the scope before anything is installed, because moving them halfway through destroys the comparison.

Baseline log, before installation

A licensed electrical partner installs the analyzer and records a full duty cycle — typically 24 hours. This is the reference set. Nothing about the facility is changed for it, because the baseline has to represent normal operation.

The equipment gets installed

Whatever is being evaluated goes in, on its own schedule, by whoever is contracted to install it. SRS coordinates the calendar so the post-installation window lands after commissioning, not during it.

Post-installation log, same methodology

Same measurement points, same instrument capability, same window length, same day-of-week pattern where the operation is weekday-dependent. Then the two data sets are presented side by side.

What the Log Measures, and What People Infer From It

These two lists get blended together in most energy-savings proposals. We keep them apart, because only one of them is a measurement.

Each of these appears in both data sets with a time stamp. The delta between them is arithmetic, not argument.

A power logger does not measure equipment lifespan. These are projections drawn from the measured data by the manufacturer or your engineers, and the report labels them that way. Where heat matters to the case, temperature data loggers can be added to the scope so it becomes a measurement rather than a claim.

Three Parties, and Nobody Grades Their Own Work

SRS Networks

Owns the scope, the schedule, the methodology, and the report package. Coordinates both site visits, verifies the partner credentials and instrument calibration, and tracks each site through the Project Command Center.

The licensed electrical partner

Installs the analyzer safely on a live system, captures accurate data over the agreed window, removes the equipment, and returns the reports and raw export to the SRS project manager.

The product manufacturer or your engineers

Owns the engineering interpretation. They designed or specified the thing being evaluated, so the conclusions drawn from the data are theirs to make and to stand behind.

SRS has no financial interest in whether the equipment performed. We are paid to measure, not to find an improvement. That is the entire reason the number is worth anything — and it means the report goes out unchanged when the data shows no meaningful change.

Why This Only Works as a Program

One site measured by one local electrician produces a number. Forty sites measured by forty local electricians produce forty numbers that cannot be added together — different instruments, different measurement points, different window lengths, different report formats. The portfolio-level claim falls apart on the first serious question.

Running it as a coordinated program fixes that. One methodology specification, one instrument capability standard, one report format, one project manager, and per-site tracking through the Project Command Center — the same coordination model behind our multi-site network deployment and national account programs.

Verification work is quoted as a fixed fee per site covering both sessions — install visit, logging window, removal visit, and reporting, at each end. Fixed-fee pricing is what keeps a two-visit program from turning into an hourly argument at site thirty.
