Approved design and change control

Who approves the drawings, live changes and acceptance? Confirm the role of RCDD design support, the installation personnel, permitted work windows and any required outage before mobilization.

Copper + fiber execution depth

Cat6A/Cat8 copper, OM4/OS2 fiber, MPO/MTP trunking, per-link certification (Fluke DSX-8000, OTDR). Is certification a standard deliverable or an add-on nobody asks for?

TIA-606 labeling & documentation

Unique port/cable labeling, color-coded patch discipline, and an as-built package — rack elevations, port schedules, certification reports — handed over at closeout, not reconstructed years later.

Multi-site program experience

One PM and one schedule across every facility in the program, or a separate dispatch per site? Does the firm execute white-label for channel partners, or only run prime contracts?

Classified or defense-secure builds needing a single-vendor cable warranty

Security and manufacturer-warranty requirements belong in the work order. ASD publishes a security-sensitive data center case, but current clearances, approved personnel and the warranty applicable to your project need separate confirmation.

Hyperscaler or carrier fiber transport construction at extreme scale

Separate the data hall installation from campus construction, carrier systems and any engineering scope. MasTec Communications Group lists a range of professional installation services. Compare the proposed delivery team and exact trade boundaries rather than parent-company size.
