The 7-step process

Site walk & scope confirmation
Days 1-3Our PM and lead tech physically walk every floor — verifying drop counts, pathway routes, MDF/IDF placement, ceiling type, and access constraints. Catches scope surprises before they become change orders.
Design & material take-off
Days 3-7Cable schedule, pathway design, full bill of materials, manufacturer submittal package. We confirm cable category, jack manufacturer, and labeling scheme with you in writing before ordering.
Permits & pre-mobilization
Days 5-12Low-voltage permits, COIs, badging, after-hours approvals, escort scheduling for secure facilities. We pull what's needed and document it for the closeout package.
Pathway & rough-in
Days 8-15J-hooks, conduit, innerduct, fire-stopping at penetrations, MDF/IDF rack and ladder-rack install. This is the dust-and-drilling phase that has to finish before cable touches the building.
Cable pull & termination
Days 12-25Pull cable from MDF/IDF to every drop, terminate at jacks and patch panels, label cable and faceplates per the labeling schedule. Photo documentation as we go.
Fluke certification testing
Days 22-30Permanent-link or channel certification on every drop with a Fluke DSX-8000. Failed drops get pulled and re-terminated until they pass. Every test result lands in the closeout PDF.
Walk-down & closeout
Days 28-35Walk every drop with your IT or facilities lead. Hand off the closeout package: Fluke test reports, as-built cable map, labeling schedule, manufacturer warranty registration. 30/60/90-day call-back windows.

One project manager (remote or on-site), one in-house W-2 cabling lead, and 2-6 technicians depending on drop count. The lead carries BICSI Installer 1 or 2 plus Fluke certification. SRS Networks never runs a job without a credentialed lead.
Yes when required. Low-voltage permits, noise variances, after-hours work permits, and historic-building approvals are part of our pre-mobilization workstream. Tell us the jurisdiction and we'll pull what's needed.
Change order. SRS Networks's PM documents the scope change in writing, prices it (material + labor), and gets your sign-off before the crew touches anything new. No surprise invoices.
Stage by floor and zone. Each zone gets pulled, terminated, certified, and walked-down before the crew moves to the next. This makes punch-list resolution fast and lets your facilities team start moving devices in floor-by-floor.
A walk-down with your IT or facilities lead, hand-off of the closeout package (Fluke test reports, as-built cable map, labeling schedule, manufacturer warranty registration), and 30/60/90-day call-back windows for any settling issues.
Yes. SRS Networks has subbed under GCs since the early 2000s. Our PM joins the GC's weekly OAC meetings, our schedule plugs into Microsoft Project or Primavera, and we deliver percent-complete reports in whatever format the GC's owner expects.
